Ascending Digit Runs

A partial climb: somewhere in the number sit three or more digits each one higher than the last, as in the 456 inside 74560.

This is the relaxed version of a full ascending sequence — the run only has to appear somewhere, and the rest of the number is free. That freedom is why the count above is much larger.

Numbers that are entirely ascending are excluded here and scored under the stronger trait instead, so the two never double count.

Segments are a good example of why the scoring uses information rather than fixed bonuses: the same visual idea at a weaker threshold correctly earns much less.
