Analysis stays on your device

The number rarity calculator, infinite roller and comparison tools run entirely in your browser. The numbers you enter for analysis and the histories you paste are not submitted to an analysis service. Opening a shareable number or near-miss page sends that number in its URL so the server can render the page. Sharing a result sends the selected result to the destination you choose.

Local storage

Your recent numbers, infinite-roll session, personal best, saved numbers, stop settings, daily streak, Daily Specimen archive and Pattern Atlas field record are stored locally in your browser (localStorage). A random anonymous browser id keeps the same Daily Specimen fixed for that device and UTC day. None of these values identifies a person, and you can clear them at any time from your browser settings. Infinite-mode records do not sync across devices. Starting a new session keeps your personal best and saved numbers. Luck histories use IndexedDB: each run stores its source, scoring version, dates, full statistical summary and the most recent 500 individual draws, including duplicates. Starting a new Infinite session creates a new luck run. Manually analyzed numbers do not enter random-roll histories. Imported histories are saved only when you choose to save them. Atlas JSON backups remain local files until you choose to share them. Your unified collection stores favorites, source labels, notes and experiment paths in localStorage. Collection backups include the Atlas archive and merge existing records when restored. Manual favorites and notes never stamp the Atlas. Sandbox undo/redo history and digit locks also stay on this device. An experiment link carries its path in the URL fragment, which is not sent with the server request; opening that link restores the path in your browser. Collection backups do not transfer your anonymous browser identity.

Daily Specimens and the Pattern Atlas

Daily Specimens are derived and scored in your browser. The resulting number, its date and the patterns it records remain on this device; they are not submitted to a public leaderboard. Clearing site data, switching browsers or using private browsing starts a new local atlas because there is no account to restore it from.

Usage analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand site traffic and usage. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as page URLs, referrers, browser and device details, and interactions. URLs may include the number shown on a shareable number or near-miss page. See Google’s privacy policy for how Google handles this data. We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics for cookie-free traffic statistics.

Our separate first-party metrics record anonymous, aggregate usage events (such as "a number was analyzed" or "a share card was created") to understand which features are useful. These events do not include the numbers you enter or any information that identifies you. Coarse events are counted at most once per browser tab and UTC day, and are enabled alongside the site’s existing analytics setting. First-party event collection respects Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. Local day markers identify a returning use of Luck or Daily Specimens; the markers themselves are not uploaded. Event counts are approximate usage indicators, not a count of unique people. We do not store raw IP addresses in the event database. A daily, secret-keyed hash of the network address limits abusive event submissions; these quota records expire after two days and are cleaned up as events arrive.
